When asked if she had a vision like the late Steve Jobs, CEO Meg Whitman argued that the company had to place more bets on “disruptive” innovation like Apple, creating categories or fundamentally changing them instead of the mostly “evolutionary” approach HP used.
I applaud HP for realizing that they need to take more risks in order to succeed. It’s refreshing to see someone actually try and emulate Apple’s process instead of their products. Only time will tell if they’re successful.

No matter what, though, the solution is clearly to emulate Apple.
