I used to be a big advocate of the concept that one should not have regrets, because mistakes you made or bad things that happened to you only served to make you stronger and build you into the person you are today. People still tell me every once and a while that I shouldn't have regrets, and they give me that reason. Everyone somehow misses a key piece of the puzzle, the reason that made me stop pushing that idea: What if you aren't happy with the person you are today?

With that in mind, I have regrets.
